Parent Communication That Actually Gets Read
The channel problem
Important messages go out through informal groups, and nobody can say who saw them. When a parent says they did not know, there is no record to check.
Route the message, keep the record
- Publish notices with audience targeting.
- Send SMS and in-app messages from templates.
- Track delivery state and opt-out per recipient.
- Collect feedback through surveys.
Do not claim delivery you cannot prove
A queued message is not a delivered message. The interface should show queued, sent, and failed states honestly, so the office knows when to follow up another way.
Consent and preferences
Families should be able to opt out of non-essential messages, and the record should respect that. Consent is part of the message, not an afterthought.
When every outbound message has a recipient list and a state, communication becomes traceable rather than hopeful.
